Churchill Downs on Saturday was a little kinder to our players than the last two venues as all
4 cashing spots were filled and 5 tickets were cashed. As a group a profit was made. In a rarity
Ruffian finished 4th. Ruff usually goes big or goes home and while her winner paid double digits
she only wound up plus $12. Smart Time was 12-1 in the ML which is more Ruffians type of
winner. Real Quiet takes third with an exacta in the featured 10th. Cal also went the race 10
route and he cashed two tickets, an exacta and a trifecta. With the aid of a scratch Cal
collected $146.60. That was enough to get him to second place and the runnerup spot. This
weeks winner however toyed with the field and hit a nice pick 5 with a couple decent winners.
Joly B nails the win this week and collects $414.85 as Smooth Like Strait crossed the wire
in first paying a double digit $12.20. Nice array Joly considering you couldn't cover that many
horses and you picked good ones. Congrats on the win JB. Honorable mention goes to
Roamin who picked another live one and fell a neck short. Following are the unofficial results.
