In the mile dirt races the inside hosses really aren’t breaking well . Whom ever is on the 3 kind of dictates things. If he comes out and moves left slightly, the 1 &2 have nowhere to go but back.

They couldn't do that ahead of the pick 5?

If they want to be "Fan Friendly" then they should start giving Refunds for the portion of the Pick 5 that will now be ALL even for those Knocked out. Reduce the pool to only the races that were run as advertised. And I am not saying they should have kept these on but they do have access to weather reports and could have called them all off.

If they took the races off and it never rained people would've complained, right?

If they take it off the turf before the pick 5 starts, all of the bettors who put bets in early and are at work or whatever are now screwed. Taking it off when they did actually protects the bettors.

I thought everyone had an issue last time (rightfully so) because they did not follow the rules. They are following the rules.

Well the race you were talking about was on the turf so....

You don't even know the surface of the races you're "betting."

Sure, people would complain they always do but less would complain then when they start on then take it off. Those guys at work... How did they put their bets in? Are they following racing during the day? It's not like it is 1975. How many of these people that went to work do you think physically went to the track to buy their tickets? But my idea to refund the portion of the ticket not run as Advertised would cover them. I know it won't happen.

Look I knew the weather was iffy today and took my chance, but my thought process was they wouldn't start if they knew it was going to be bad. That was a very bad decision on my part. My solution going forward if there is any risk whatsoever, I won't participate. Stupid of me to think they would take the races off before the Pick 5.

I put bets in from my ADW daily from work. Often times early in the day because I don 't always have the ability to be checking in real time. Sometimes I do, but sometimes when I get home I'm watching replays to see if I won.

I think they realized what they did last week was way wrong so they're going to err on the side of caution going forward.

It's not perfect but it protects the most people doing this IMO.

If you were watching the early races at Sar today you had to know that the late races stood a good chance of coming off the turf.
If you chose to make multi race bets anyway, like the P4-P5-P6, you can't bitch about it now.

On another note...how many winners in a row is that for Andy? At least five.
Nice job

I realize it was on the turf, that’s why I said dirt Mile. Just thinking out loud and posting in the wrong thread.

What thread were you trying to post in?

There wasn't a 1 mile race on the dirt today.

"Thinking out loud...."

Priceless

True. I will never play again there if any chance that they come off. But to your point, have you ever seen a track take races off prior to heavy rains starting because they were expected? I have.
