ROI Results 11/19 @ Aqueduct
Our season started off with a bang at Aqueduct as all four payout spots were filled and 7 trips
were made to the cashiers window. Cruzan takes the 4th spot with a win bet on Maggie T in the 10th. Cruzan got $11.00 for his win bet. Third place goes to JolyB who hit a nice exacta in the 5th. The exacta paid a generous $27.40 as Litigate drifted from a 2-1 ML and won at 9-2. First and second place went down to the wire and was actually decided by a scratch. Zippy had a great day with 3 winning wagers but had to settle for second place. Zippy nailed exacta's in races 1, 2 and 8 with two of them paying over a hundred bucks. Those wins gave Zippy a return of $387 and a profit of $287. Cal however takes the win with the biggest hit of the afternoon, a pick 3 worth $319.50 featuring a $13.20 single and an $18.20 horse. His initial winner paid $8.70 so there was no chalk by Cal. It still wouldn't have been enough but Cal laid $10 on his single Churchtown in the 7th to give him a reurn on the day of $385.50 and a profit of $297.50. Good Medicine was scratched in the 6th reducing Cal's stake. Congrats on the win Cal. Nicely played and nice picks. Kudos to all the cashers for finding some nice priced horses. That nasty word "error" showed up so the results are not official and there will be a correction later. What a way to start the year. In my haste I credited Zippy with a winner in the first but never checked the results for a scratch of his other two horses so his bet was also reduced. I never would have caught it so thanks to Cal for his eagle eye. Edit to follow.

After a review of the results the order of finish was changed with Zippy edging Cal out for the win by a scant $1.50 I missed a scratch in race 1 and Zippy bet $12 less. My apologies to Zippy and Cal for the miscue. Congrats on the win Zippy. You remain undefeated and untied on the season (pending any other

No problem. Yours is a tough job. Congrats to Zippy. I am just proud not to have gone in the hole in the season opener. Once I get started losing, I tend to dig myself deeper with each passing contest.
 Hoping, this year to avoid that with better money management.
