Always something screwy to kill the multis

Nice handicapping on some of these. There were a few tricky races today. I didn’t cash a ticket all day. I went into the derby alive to a number of different bets but didn’t have Mage on top. A rough day for me.

I gave Mage a long look but couldn't put him in. He broke every Derby rule.
On form had a puncher chance just getting beat by Forte,
but to win the Derby with only 3 starts is not normal.
He had more strikes than any winner since Mine That Bird.
So much for that tool anymore.

It seems today that we need to toss out all the handicapping rules, make new ones up for the way horses are trained today.
You used to be able to have running lines to use to assess a race.
Today with horses making 3-4 starts /year, most is just a guess.
