Default ROI Results 6/1 @ Woodbine

Woodbine on Saturday bacame our worst betting day of the season. No tickets cashed and
no points credited. NJS and Don stayed statewide and were the only players to gain ground.
Better luck to all at Belmont this Saturday. Of course if I missed something let me know. Now
I have two questions. What is an "Omni Swinger" and why didn't Joly bet it?

Zippy -$96.00

Indian Hemp -$97.60

Joly B -$98.00

Cal828 -$100.00

Real Quiet -$100.00

Ruffian -$100.00

Digger -$100.00

I saw that bet and wondered the same thing, but I just saw swinger not omni, Maybe, there's more than one kind of swinger ? Also, thought about Joly being our expert on exotic bets, but thought, I probably don't really need to know as there are already multiple ways that I can lose money and being a "swinger" nowadays might just land a person in a correctional institution, especially in Judge Merchan's courtroom.

I am not now nor have I ever been much of a swinger. However, I do know Omni.

In the few jurisdictions where it is offered (I don't know of any in the US), if you bet the Omni, you are selecting two horses. If both of those horses finish in the top 3, then you cash. Obviously, there are three possible Omni winning combos.

For example, if the top 3 finishers were 5,9 and 3, the Omni would pay for the combinations 3/5, 3/9 and 5/9 in any order. Because there are 3 combos and you don't need to hit in exact order, the payoffs are smaller than an exactor and probably smaller than the seldom played quinella. It is my understanding that each payoff is based on the amount wagered on that combo, so all 3 payouts are likely to be different.

And no, I've never played it.
