ROI Results 11/16 @ Churchill
Our first contest after the Breeders Cup started with a bang. Full races at Churchill's Claiming
Crown provided players with some good values and a majority of our players found them. 5 tickets were cashed and all 4 payout slots were filled. Joly B took an early lead in the 5th race and finished the day in 4th place. His 8-5 exacta paid $18.90 and it was good enough for a $22.85 profit on the day. Digger played Hurry Hurry in the 10th and when he finished second Digger had third place and a $38 profit. It was a bad break as his 8-1 morning line horse almost went off as the favorite. Indian Hemp takes the number two spot by playing a 47-1 shot across the board and he only needed a 3rd place finish to finish up $190 on the day. Spankster was not on my radar but looking back at the PP's he wasn't that bad. Indian Hemp just delved deeper in his races and reaped the rewards. Speaking of rewards, Cal found one and had the Claiming Crown all to himself and romped to an easy win. Cal played Laughing Boy in the 10th and when Surface to Air was disqualified Cal had himself a stellar afternoon. The win and place prices on Laughing Boy returned $459 to Cal and he padded his overall profit with a tri in the 3rd. Congrats on the win Cal. Nicely played. As for the rest of us, DonGuido and I were spectators and Ruffian was in midseason form with a head loss on the almost 17-1 Keen Cat. Following are the unofficial results pending a review. With the Kansas City Chiefs losing last night Cal is the only one with a chance at an unbeaten season (well except for the Cleveland Calvaliers). See you next week. WIN... Cal828... +$398.72...
