Default Tampa Sat/Pick 4

In T3B's abscence, I'll give it a whirl. Hope he doesn't mind.

Race 6 Clm 6250 1 1/16

8 - Chief Magistrate - Ness trainee ran wide throughout in his last. Willing to give him another shot.
9 - Formal Etiquette - Right back.
3 - Respectabeau - Hinsley gelding is 5 out of 9 ITM at this route. The white hot Centeno sees fit to take him for a spin.

Race 7 Alw N1X Turf about 1 1/16 (a very good chance this comes off as it is raining right now)

1 - Tiz Nik - Joan Scott is clicking at her usual high percentage. She enlists Lezcano to ride this filly who scored smartly in her last at Churchill closing 6 wide after an awful trip.
6 - Seattle Splash - Ran away from a N3L field at Calder after the race was taken off the turf. Been away for a bit, but the works say she's ready.
3 - Princess Marquetry - Will probably scratch if it comes off the turf. If it stays on, she's 2 for 2 ITM over the Tampa blades. Centeno & KOC were deadly here last year.

Race 8 Clm 8000N3L 6.5f (Yuck)

10 - Empeccable Powder - Caple is 21% 2nd off (compared to 13% overall). Gelding ran and even race first back. Should show a bit more speed.
5 - Cliff Road - 1 for 4 at Tampa, nice work since shipping in from Indiana. Can sit the stalking trip in a race with a good amount of speed in it.
11 - Grand Canal - Could do no wrong after moving upstate. Certainly in good form, we'll see if he can step up a couple notches and run these off their feet.

Race 9 Clm 16000 Turf about 1 mile

3 - That Belongs to Me - Lynne Scace has started the meet where she left off last year. Everything she sends out is live. Mare is 3 for 5 ITM in 1 mile grass races. Needs some speed to run at.
7 - Bella Bella Bailey - Don Rice does not turn the screws in the am, so his starters usually show a marked improvement 2nd off. This mare sports 4 wins over this course and is reunited with Tommy Pompell. Rice also wins at a 45% clip wheeling back in 1-7 days. May take them wire to wire. If it comes off the turf, she gets tossed off the ticket.
8 - Billie B Quick - 3 for 4 lifetime on the turf. Been off since Aug 23 after a N1X victory. Works nothing to get excited over, but she's finished in the top two in her last 7 races. Hard to ignore.

Good luck to all tomorrow.

Thanks bro. Merry Christmas to you to.

Should stay on the turf today. Only had .26" of rain in Oldsmar and it hasn't rained for quite some time, so the turf should soak it up. They also had the rail out 22' yesterday. I suspect they will keep it there and then move it back to 0' for the Tuesday card.

EDIT: That .26" of rain was only until midnight. Probably rained more after midnight, may be off the turf. Check Equibase at 11am to see what the status is.

Kev had posted elsewhere that he would be away from the internet for the Sat. and Tues. Tampa cards. No pouting.

Finally:

2: 2 = $7.00
3: 1 = $11.60
4: 2 = $7.60

6 was scratched out of that middle leg before ticket was posted so we had an $18 investment turned into $78.

Default Whoa baby

Hopefully he played this. Alive to below:

3: 1704.80
7: 5114.60
8: SCR

Not sure if he played it because of the off the turf but still some nice payoffs

Saw the race. Good one Hooves.

Bigs is the shizzle at TBD. No doubt

Hell of a Super there. 3 chalks out. 5 longest odds ran out. The other four.. 10-1, and three 7-1's. They give you $25k for that?

In another day, in another life, ....

Because of the off the turf, was alive to the 2 and the 3... and missed. Did not bet the 7 as I said I wouldn't on the dirt last night and glad I didn't.

Had a very good day though. Had the Orseno horse in the 5th as well as the exacta. Rail was golden early. When I arrived at the track, they were still scraping the rail.

Thanks for the kind words Hooves and STS.

Should be back on the turf Tues. and I'll be back too.

Happy Holidays
Bigs

Default Joan Scott

I know she won with an even money horse today and i know she is no longer a secret, but can Joan bring them home at Tampa or what? Her ROI must be well above $2.00....

That horse won pretty impressively also. Is it me or do these Tiznow horses really jump up when they get to stretch out........
