Default Premium Tap's New Name??

Obviously I am wrong because Premium Tap has a new name now (Allum), but thought changing the name of a horse while in training could not be done? What are the rules on this??

From DRF.com

Racing with an Arabic name - Allam - as all horses do in Saudi Arabia, Premium Tap covered the 1 1/2 miles of the $53,320 Arabian Group 1 contest in 2:28.08 on a dirt track labeled fast under the guidance of Kent Desormeaux.

I guess it's only for this race

If he ever runs here again, I think he'll again be Premium Tap. The only horse I recall having her name changed while in training was the filly "Columbine is sad." She was named after a cartoon clown named Columbine but after the shooting at the high school of the same name, her owners petitioned the JC to allow a name change. She became "Dake."

It would be a shame if Premium Tap never runs here again. Hes developed into one of the best in training. Man he gets better every time he runs and Invasor and 4timesayear Cat better be on their toes in the Dubai Cup.

Imagine how good Skip Away could have been had he had 3-4 months (ometime longer) between races? Yikes, just cant get excited about a horse like 4 times a year Cat.

I believe at one time, if you shipped to Saudi Arabia...you couldn't come back to the states. Remember a runner from these parts named; PASSING SHIPS? He shipped over there and I believed never returned to the U.S. I think this was the case.
