Very sad.. Wasn't a Raiders fan but as a Colgate guy, watched them for Marv Hubbard & Mark van Eeghen and the guy was just a winner. RIP.

wow, the snake. the guy was a great football player, and a great character. i remember reading about him partying all night once ,and then showing up to play the next day on about 3 hours sleep. he was asked if he'd be ok to play..he said something like yeah, man, it's just a game, no big deal. i loved football in those days.

He did everything BUT win that playoff championship when the football fell out of the sky and "hit" Franco Harris squarely in the hands....the Immaculate Reception.....WHAT A GAME....
Kenny was about the most accurate QB in a day when receivers were commonly "manhandled and thrown off" their routes.... They'll never be another.....

I used to watch a video called "The Super Seventies" on VHS and my two favorite scenes were Jim Marshall's "touchdown" and Stabler's Holy Roller.
