Probably won't start updating again until later this morning.

Well, it started updating at about noon, but like last year, it's a sputtering odds stream. It's been updating every 15-20 minutes, which is pretty ridiculous. It doesn't matter much right now, but if it freezes like that in the last half-hour, it's a joke.

Petrov took $7 of each $1,000 wagered, so the odds will be around 110-1. If you go to kentuckyderby.com tomorrow and click on "wager", you will be able to see the actual payouts for Future Wager pool 2.

Batallion Runner was flattered.
He reminds me a little of Outwork.

Here are the $2 will pays for win bets and exacta bets:

https://www.kentuckyderby.com/upload...ndWillPays.pdf

https://www.kentuckyderby.com/upload...xProbables.pdf

I'll be sort of rooting for Petrov, too. I made a bunch of hefty exacta bets in the last 15 minutes of betting, with "All Others" first and other listed horses in the 2nd position. But I accidentally bet 5 times what I meant to on All Others/Petrov. I thought I was betting on Practical Joke, a mere 20-1 shot. (The joke was on me, apparently.) I wasn't able to cancel the Petrov bet online, and I didn't have time to call before betting closed. So, I'll be rooting for Petrov to almost win, just behind the as-yet-unheralded Derby winner.

The odds feed from CD was atrocious, btw. At around 5:30pm it was only updating every 5 minutes or so.

The All Others bet from Pool 2 is looking good a little over 4 weeks from the Derby. I think it's generally a good bet, but for the 2 previous years, the bet didn't look good at all at this point and I was beginning to wonder.

This year, of the 23 individual interest from Pool 2, only 5 already have enough points to make the starting gate:

Classic Empire
Gunnevara
Practical Joke
State of Honor
Untrapped

9 others, including McCraken, are still on the Trail but will need points the next 2 weeks to make the Derby.

Meanwhile, 9 of the top 11 horses on the Derby Points list are All Others horses and are assured of an entry:

1.*Girvin*(Joe Sharp) 150
2.*Thunder Snow*(Saeed bin Suroor) 100
3.*Always Dreaming*(Todd Pletcher) 100
6. Tapwrit (Todd Pletcher) 54 ~*Blue Grass
7. J Boys Echo (Dale Romans) 53 ~*Blue Grass
8. Malagacy (Todd Pletcher) 50 ~*AR Derby
9.*Hence*(Steve Asmussen) 50
10.*Fast and Accurate*(Mike Maker) 50
11.*Patch*(Todd Pletcher) 40

That entry is quite a bit stronger than the 5-2 odds on All Others from Pool 2. Both groups will have additions and defections before Derby Day, but I'm guessing the All Others group will be close to even money to win the race. For the first time in 3 years I'm feeling good about my chances one month out.

i see you single out McCracken in your post.

Could it be that you single him in your discussion because you secretly think the undefeated son of Ghostzapper, with 3 wins on the Churchill surface, healthy once again firing bullets, is all there is to type about ?
