Default ROI Results 12/29 @ Santa Anita

Our last venue of 2018 was Santa Anita and we had a winner. In a no doubt about it win Joly B
hits a sweet Pick 3 and runs away from the field. Joly hit two double digit winners in his pick 3
array and the result was a nice $85.45 for each fifty cent ticket. Joly had to wait two weeks but
he also gets a repeat with his back to back wins in the ROI. In our first contest of 2019 JB will
be seeking a three peat. Real Quiet cashed his first ticket of the year and squeeked out a small
profit to get the points associated with second. Cruzan made a run at the leader board but fell a
tad bit short of showing a profit and once again Ruffian had placeitis with a $48 horse finishing
second. Congrats on the win JB. Nicely played. You were the Patriots and the rest of us were
the Jets. Following are the unofficial results pending a booth review. Hope to see you all in
2019.

Thanks very much, Real Quiet. Hitting a generous pick 3 makes me very glad that I didn't experiment with the Horse Racing Roulette wager that Santa Anita has just introduced. I can't find it listed on any of the ADW's that I use, the handle has been very small and the payoffs, as you would expect, tend to be on the meager side. I think that I noticed the will pays on the SA track feed a couple of minutes prior to post.

On the other hand, I did read a comment from a Santa Anita mutual clerk that patrons at his window who were at the track for the first time tried the wager and just loved it. They weren't worried about "return on investment" or "looking for wagering value" or "trying to find an overlay", they just hoped to have a rooting interest and a cashable ticket. Perhaps it will be a successful bridge for newcomers to use.

Happy New Year to all.

I have two ADWs. One has it, but the other doesn't. Xpressbet is the one that has it as you would expect since both Xpressbet and Santa Anita are owned by Magna(Stronach), I think.
