Default Man Has Dominion Over Animals

With everything that has evolved out of the west coast and Santa Anita horseracing situation, I think we should all take a breath, figure out the multitude of variables involved with track maintenance and horse health in general and omit that the very vast and almost complete racing industry has both economic and animal care at the very core of what it does.
We are humans with legal and inalienable rights.
Horses have some legal protection brought about by a man that is designed to be humane but we as humans have complete control over our property.
Yes property,livestock, animals.
I love horses, the smell, the touch their eyes, the way I use to get to know them when I worked the backstretch as a teenager and grew up around Charlie Whittingham, Bobby Frankel, Tommy Dole, and all the dominate trainers in the 70's and 80's.
They're Racehorses, Things happen that we all don't like but are trying to make safer.
In the end, if we want to race, race!
If you want to wring your hands over animal rights then become a lawyer and see if you get your clients to give you anything but what you have to clean from their stall while I'll enjoy their beautiful strides on the track, feeding some cookies or carrots and try to figure out who is going to beat the Baffert 2-5 shot
