Love to hear Beyer's explanation for the 9pt difference between the CD Stakes and Derby City Distaff, both at 7f, with a raw time difference of .22 seconds.

A lot of people might have missed it but that was some debut by Strobe.

Jackies Warrior was slower than normal early. I know he usually goes faster than that, but he didn't on Saturday.

He ran a slower than normal final time because he ran a slower than normal 1/4m and 1/2m.
The time is the time.
Giving him a higher number because he ran slower early is silly.

Beyer spoke on Steve's show and they broke it out, Listen to the archives I get Beyer's thoughts. I get it but I don't get the need to make it such a fast race

Did Beyer also "adjust" the Derby winner's figure for greatly benefitting from that blistering fast (absurd) pace?

Most people would be embarrassed to post on a horse racing message board and let everyone know how poorly they understand racing. I admire your honesty.

No one has mentioned it (at least that I have seen) but that was a strong comeback race for Jack Christopher. I'd love to get a future on him for the Travers.

I know at least one person who won't book that bet.

I was thinking…why don’t some of these other races have futures bets? I don’t bet a lot but I enjoy the derby futures. Why not preakness and Belmont and travers and breeders cup? I’m sure there is a market for them.

I was in Las Vegas in late June of 2019. I tried to bet futures on two horses in the Travers ( Looking at Bikinis, who had a maiden win in October and hadn't run since, he was running in a day or two, and Highest Honors, who had either a maiden win or a NW1X as well ) and asked in a few places and nobody wanted to get involved.

Oddly, they both actually ran in the Travers ( and finished nowhere ).

Still unable to recognize sarcasm other than your own.
Ok, I'll be your "Anthony" today.
Enjoy yourself. You seem to need it.
