Default Proposal for Yesterday's Saratoga Card . . .

I would propose not scoring it due to all the cancelled races and scratches and move on to next week. Whoever picked the venue for yesterday picks the next one as well

Thoughts?

Why? We didn’t start till race 4 and the changes were posted early. It’s not like the card was canceled. As I stated before unless Digger has an issue I don’t get why we cancel. But I’d like to hear some other input.

I'm inclined to agree with RQ on this question. While it is a real shame that the two turf stakes were postponed and the third became what amounted to a paid public workout for Film Star, all of the changes were announced before the first race and we didn't start our contest until the 4th. Everyone had a fair opportunity to digest the changes and amend accordingly, so I think scoring our contest would be fair if Digger has no issues with scoring it.

Having expressed my opinion, I will be glad to abide by any decision that is made by our group and am already looking forward to next Saturday. If we return to the Spa, the card with the Saratoga Derby (even without Diego Velazquez who will not be entered), the Troy and the Fourstardave (remember him?) should be superb.

If Digger's OK let it be, let it be, as the Beatles would say!

I'm going ahead in scoring this contest. There will be a winner announced soon as I am finished.
Hope I don't scratch my eyes out in doing this It might take me awhile longer than normal.
It is what it is
Don't know who says this. All I know is I just says this

I can't argue for or against it.

Perhaps anyone wanting to be DQ'd on request should be.

I waited for changes as usual so I'm fine with being scored.

Count it as usual. Some races were cancelled, but there were still plenty to play. Must admit I don’t always look to see what the track condition is, but in this case I saw Joly’s post saying there were changes well ahead of the first race so changed my picks accordingly.

I was heading to Colonial Downs and had to enter my picks on the way because there was an accident and we got stuck in traffic. I'm okay with scoring it if Digger is. I would only suggest that Del Mar be our next venue. The east coast is going to be wet again this weekend.

Could we be getting remnants of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Debbie in upstate New York and New England by this Saturday? That storm has been a colossal rainmaker in the Southeast.

I live in central Virginia and we're supposed to get 4-6" or more of rain through Saturday. The forecast track takes it up through New York state to Maine.

I think it's going to be really soggy.
