DG: Controlled pace in American Pharoah in bounce-back effort from Del Mar Futurity

DG: Tossed rider pre-race, had some trouble early, ran game second in Futurity

DG: Looked good in Iroquois, a race that hasn't led to success in Juvenile

MH: Yet to race beyond 6F but definitely talented enough if he stays

New Century (Andrew Balding) 4-1
Marcus Hersh: Yet to race beyond 6F but definitely talented enough if he stays

Al Qudra (Charlie Appleby) 5-1
MH: Less than ideal trip as WO favorite; barn's No. 1 hope for this since July

Aomori City (Charlie Appleby) 8-1
MH: Doubt Appleby runs both him and Al Qudra

Zulu Kingdom (Chad Brown) 8-1
MH: 2 for 2 since coming from France, 3 for 3 overall, but others have greater upside

MH: Sharp turf debut win; would bring a lot of speed to race

MR: Logged first work since Pocahontas win last weekend at CD, going half-mile in 49.60

Steve Andersen: Future-book favorite for '25 English 1000 Guineas is not certain for BC.

And One More Time (Mark Casse) 7-2
SA: Won turf debut in first start at a mile in Natalma, commands respect.

Thought Process (Phil D'Amato) 4-1
SA: Has won three straight one-mile turf races, including two stakes in SoCal.

Simmering (Ollie Sangster) 8-1
SA: Beaten 3 1/4 lengths on very soft turf in Paris, may prefer good or firm.

SA: Spectacularly unlucky in Jessamine, and still closed to miss by a head.
