Default Ausable Chasm sharp in return to worktab

Eager for some leg-stretching, Ausable Chasm returned to the worktab at Belmont Monday recording a :48.4 half mile on the training track which included a :36+ burst through the first 3/8ths. The work was 24th fastest of 93 at the distance. Our Hook and Ladder filly is looking to return to action with one more start before the end of the year in a state bred N1X event after 2 unsuccessful tries in NYB stakes company.

Hud,

We're better off staying 'home' for a NY-bred N1X (when one gets used). Want to get a read on her at Aqueduct too given the opportunities there now and in the spring. Gary anticipates she will run better at Aqueduct than she did at Belmont (due to surface/configuration).

Ausable Chasm scheduled to work again Monday...

Looks like a NY-ALW/N1X at 6f coming up on December 8 (in the new book) is the target...

Steve - great BC coverage before and after on ATR...ATR makes this old retired teacher/coach want to drive around in the morning so he can hear the show....wife loves it too as I volunteer to drive her anywhere she wants to go between 9am and noon

Still no progress toward a race being written, but AUSABLE CHASM went another easy half mile today in :50.0 (65 of 113) on the Belmont training track..
