London Lane???
Exciting duel in the Da Hoss stakes -- Hudson Steele was so much the best though. |

Shug's horses didn't fire at all in the two big Colonial turf races today.
I gave Adjacent a shot in there because she had numbers very competitive to Pletcher's Channel Lady and CL raced 3-times at GP and the hope was she'd go backwards. Adjacent was placed in a good spot and faded miserably into 6th. Appealing Cat, who was pounded for some reason, also faded badly into 5th. The closers got by everyone except a sweet trip Channel Lady. It looked surprising. The Colonial Turf Cup was next, same course. I ended up betting Hyper (5/1) simply because he had the best late pace figure in the field. He finishes 2nd, the horse with the second best late pace figure in the field wins at 50/1 odds. Obviously, even messing around and betting casually, I didn't put it together. Shug's Air Support was a lousy 6th at 5/2 odds. |
