Exactly. I'm sure there'll be some interesting discussion about this race on ATR Monday.

Calhoun should be a diplomat. I;d be a bit more mad about it, as well as Lanerie's dogshit ride.
“It’s very disappointing,” he said. “It looked like we were coming through and going to win. Race riding is race riding, but I think [Rosario] overdid it today. He endangered a lot of riders and horses, and I hope he gets a long vacation to think about it. He’s a great rider, but that was very uncalled for.” |

The DQ was legitimate, but Calhoun needs to steer some of his anger toward Lanerie, who foolishly chose to get way too cute with the best horse, trying to squeeze through the inside instead of switching out into the clear when he had plenty of chances to do so. He needlessly put himself in that position and what ensued was a total discredit to the horse and the many people who singled her. It completely lets Lanerie off the hook to lay her disastrous trip solely at the feet of Rosario.

The DQ wasn't horrible, but Points point is valid. The take down might ruin my meet. Cost me a $30 double to Corfu and the pick 4 for $1.
