Handicapping Contest at Delaware Park: September 6th
Delaware Park is having a Handicapping Contest. $100 entry fee, $100 live bankroll - player keeps all winnings from bankroll. All prizes are from the entry fees collected and 100% of that money is returned to the players. Win/Place/Show wagering, $10 minimum per race (total among bets), no maximum.
This is a good contest. Player always has a chance to go all in. No odds caps, no maximum bet. |

they used to have a monthly Did a Deleware tourney years ago and thething is its unlimited number of bets and $10.min. So if you build up to several hundred, those w/the biggest cajones and hit a couple of big bets win and usually there are only a few, separated from the field. They used to have smalleer monthly contests and then 2 big ones w/ larger buy in ,but300 enetrants. Havenot checked i out in a while,bt go to their racing page and look under handicap tourneys. I see they have now changed I see this one had 92 entries as 1st got 1/2 of $9200

The big contests used to award the winner an entry in the DRF contest in Vegas. Then it was for the Horseplayers' World Series. The big contests though (June and November) used to require a bank check or money order (not personal check) in advance so that was something of a pain. The monthly contests used to also have a World Series entry. This is not a huge change because in all cases the entry fee is 100% coming back in prizes to the player, and if you win, you are certainly going to have much more than the $1000 necessary to put yourself in the Horseplayers' World Series. This particular contest was run on the same day as one at Borgata with the traditional flat win bet @ $10 per race with odds caps. I know some players who went to that one instead of Delaware Park that day, so I'd actually expect more than 92 entries for November. I have also played Borgata and it is a decent contest too, but if you score early and others have held their "bullets" you might have no choice but to watch others pass you later. At Delaware Park you can also play to try to hold your lead. Anyway, just wanted to keep you guys informed since we have a fair number of players here on the East Coast in driving distance of Delaware Park if anyone is interested. I am going to try to make it to the November 22nd contest as well. Last edited by joeydb : 09-10-2014 at 08:13 AM. |
