![]() i just thought it was worth noting. i find it interesting these ny connections claimed a ny bred that won her first race in ky at 2.

![]() Goldfarb, from ny, owns Say Florida Sandy and a slew of other horses Dutrow trains...they are pretty sharp.

![]() I had to toss in a Say Florida Sandy race from 2003, getting his "nine year old nose on the wire first." in a six hour tape of races I made for KC.
He not only ran from ages 2 through 9....but was at least stakes placed every single year. And a stakes winner at ages 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 9. That was one kick ass race horse. |

![]() He was my nemasis for a while---he beat me out of a few nice scores. One with Wake At Noon on Belmont day, among many, comes to mind.

![]() Expect the End is by Precise End, who was a very hot NY sire before being exported. Thus, she's pretty well bred for a "true" NYB. I presume that in addition to NYB races, she's Stallion Series eligible. She may have to wait but will be able to run for $45k in allowances by fall. Meanwhile they may try to take some smaller stakes w/her at B and C level tracks.

![]() Chuck, have you seen some of the Stallion Series'? Dutrow has plenty of magic anyhoo. Plus, they run $40k and $50k 2yo stakes at FINGERLAKES as well.

![]() I figured I'd dredge this conversation up. Expect the End was 2nd in the Coleen at MON, then won a restricted NYB stake at Saratoga and won the Joseph A Gimma on Sunday at Belmont. She cost $1200 at the OBS sales last August, was claimed for $30k and has now won over $130k in total.
Oh, and Say Florida Sandy was raced by Sanford Bacon.

![]() John Rotella is/was the owner of Say Florida Sandy after he was claimed by trainer Juan Serey, I believe. Sanford Bacon is the breeder.

![]() i don't remember the claim price of SFS but I remember reading the Serey got on his hands and knees and begged the owner to claim that horse...and the rest is history...and it's been a success story for Expect The End too...then there's Stunt Man in NY who was claimed for $25k and just beat Tiz Wonderful and EZ Warrior in the More Than Ready S.at Belmont to raise his bankroll to $239,678 since being claimed on March 30. The is trained by Contessa and has really improved since the claim.
