i'm looking at everything without a bias either way. unlike some on here, and certainly unlike you.

no doubt you're proud they got to the title game, as you should be. enjoy it. but don't make them out to be some world beater who is heads and shoulders the best. they aren't.

i'm pulling for the bulldogs in the championship, as i don't want bama in there. if it's bama vs dame, i'd rather nd won it.
these are the nd fans i remember growing up in chi town..but.. alabama fans are just as bad..nd hasent done well in a long time..so let them be excited..if they have to play an sec team they wont know what hit them..

oh, i know. i don't blame them for being excited. but excitment is one thing, acting like they are a team that has been heaven sent is another. i was happy we were lucky to get in a few years' back, i didn't make out like lsu could walk on water. they benefitted from everyone else losing, so they could get in with two losses. you know, like dame is benefitting from others losing.
and i'm sick of bama, so i hope the dogs beat them. i don't like lying nick, especially when i was one of the ones defending him when he was still at miami. learned my lesson.

miama (not the hurricanes)
stanford, quality opponent. had to go to ot for that one, no shame for either one.

oklahoma-second best opponent faced by dame after stanford.
pitt, in ot. pitt. another win by 3.

usc. 7-5. lost to every ranked team they faced this year.

yeah, tough schedule.... /sarcasm

after it's all over-how many quality opponents did they face? how many did others, such as fla (who it seems has faced a tougher schedule than many, including dame/georgia) square off against? where are all the opponents ranked now compared to through the season? that's what tells the tale.
THANK YOU! THAT'S WHAT i'm trying to point out. they just don't pass they eye test in my book! that schedule fell completely apart in nd's favor.

kind of like those noles this weekend

Gators may be the best team in the country. Too bad they played such a terrible game against Georgia. and still at the end the WR was running in for a TD and fumbled near the goal line.

Would have loved to see a Bama vs Gators match up this year in the SEC championship game.

Since the Gators are the only SEC team I care for, I guess I'll go with ND here on out, just hoping we dont have ANOTHER SEC team as national champ.

Notre Dame is a damn good football team too. They still beat everyone they played, and their schedule may not have been tough like Florida, but it was still a respectable schedule and the did what needed to be done.

Really, really, like ND's coach.. wish he'd be the Eagles coach next year, though I cant see anyone leaving ND for a team like the eagles.

Check out this article, it's a good one. You do realize that notre dame has a lot of players who were also given scholarship offers from premiere SEC schools right, this isn't a team with a bunch of low star recruits.

Dude I dont know if your one of these people who think someone can mush, but your good. Notre Dame is winning this thing, and building for the future. They have the 3rd best class on rivals and top 5 on foxsports. These SEC homers are a joke.

Are you people serious? How about this.... Stanford is better then any team Georgia beat. They are right there w/ Florida.

With the Dawgs opening at +7 1/2 today I'm not sure what the right play is, but i think it's a good number. UGA is on a peak right now if you look at the last three games (forget GA Southern), because Richt has let the offense play instead of protecting a lead. I believe Sabin has more big game experience, and has the edge, but the Dawgs are better than many think. Would not be surprised to see them squeak by the Gumps and beat the golden boys.

i will say, that i agree that bama is overrated. but my point is that so is notre dame by their fans.

and in the top ten, on strength of schedule, fla and lsu had tougher than the top three did.

not sure why everyone is so convinced sabin will sweep the two games. anyone here know ol' nickys lifetime bowl record???

7 and 6. that's not a typo.

as for stanford...they lost to washington, who lsu crushed like they were 1-aa.

Who the fuc* has Georgia beat this year? One good team in Florida.
Buffalo?
Missouri?
Florida Atlantic?
Vanderbilt?
Tennessee?
South Carolina?? O wait, they got blown out 35-7
Kentucky?? Barely
Ole miss??
Auburn?
Georgia southern??
Georgia tech?

Notre dame beat Stanford and Oklahoma, both who could have won every game on that schedule. Florida would have been tough, but not unbeatable.

This type of comparison never works in football. Ever.

As for Saban's bowl record, he's 4-1 in either BCS games or the NCG. That's pretty good.

I don't believe in that stuff. People were telling me to take it easy and my buddies were talking **** saying I better not overlook usc and I told them I will overlook whoever I want and think about the possibly of the championship because I am simply a fan. Nothing I do or say will have any outcome on the game. I'm just here to enjoy the ride.

GO IRISH!

People want to laugh and rag on notre dame for playing wake forest and navy, but Georgia and Alabama have played teams this year that navy would be double digit favorites over. This is when blind hatred comes into play.

no, it's not blind hatred. everyone here knows that every team has some softballs. there's more to schedules than the bad teams. there's more to a schedule than one or two good teams also. and that's what nd faced. and it's not that they play cupcakes, it's that they barely beat them. ot's. 3 point margins. against cupcakes.
you want to call it hatred, i call it realistic. like i said, enjoy it. just don't think that nd could handle an nfl team any more than bama could. or usc a few years back.

I've never thought this years ND team is unbeatable or the greatest ever. I said they are pretty damn good and get no respect. Alabama may be better than them, but on January 7 they won't be. This team is all about winning, whether its be 3 or 30 their motto out of Kelly's mouth is find a way to win. He said he could have tried putting up style points and opening te offense up but that's not who they are and it would be a disservice to the team. They hit you in the mouth on defense and hit you in the mouth on offense with their run game.
