================================================ Mortimer, I'm not sure why Cheryl decided to drop you from the group considering she hasn't dropped one person until this time but I think she didn't like the way some of your posts/comments were going, She pays the bills ($150 a year or so to meetup) to have the site, so I guess she can do what she wants with it. I personally told her not to drop you from the group but I guess she took offense with your post about no one being at the street fest when Chery and I clearly said we wouldn't be there and John who helps run the 20/30's groups posted information (including a phone number) to meet with him and his group...plus John's group also had a bunch of people (20 people or so) so I have a hard time believing you guys couldn't find them at the time and place that was listed. I would like to suggest that posting stuff about the situation like you did on the Summit group here probably won't get you anywhere other then to piss off a bunch more people, since we are friends with pretty much all of the people that run most of the large groups around here and they would most likely let everyone around here in Meetup know to keep an eye on your postings too. It's happened with someone else and all the groups watch out for him or don't let him in their groups. Word travels fast and posting in public isn't going to help your case. I would like to think the reason you joined meetup wasn't to cause problems but to have fun, so I would just let it go and move on since there are 400 other groups in the area that you could certainly join and find great people to hang out with. Like I said, I didn't have a problem with your posts. I just assumed you had a strange sense of humor. Hope you have a great summer (what's left of it). Ron

Patti joined New in Town and there's no reason you can't come with her to some events as her guest if you rally want to go to some of them. (I know, why the hell would you want to do that). most of our events are public so we can't stop anyone from coming anyhow but I don't want you to think you can't (or shouldn't) go just because you're not a member. Especially if Patti wants you to go with her. I certainly don't think it's a big deal. Maybe if you show everyone that your a normal guy and can keep the rants to a low roar Cheryl will see she made a mistake and re-add you. Just a thought. Ron

Cheryl usually takes on too many events because she likes to make sure people know what's going on in the city and even if you don't catch up with us she wants people to be able to go on their own and have a good time. this is especially true with these "open to the public" events. So I hope you guys at least had a great time anyhow. And yes it does take a lot of time to run this site since it's growing faster then any other group in the area. We had 600 people in Aug 2009 and will most likely be over 1000 people by the end of the month. She really does try and make everyone happy and to great everyone which is not the case with most meetup groups around here. That's why I think she got so annoyed by your posts. plus I think it just caught her on a bad day. Some people have a clash in their styles and my guess is here was something about your posts/rants that struck her the wrong way. I just assumed you have a strange sense of humor but she didn't like the way your posts were going and didn't want the negative stuff posted in her group. Again, I advised her not to remove you but she was pretty set on doing it. Can't say much more other then you can find any one of about 400 other groups to join or even start one yourself if you like. I don't have a problem with you but I don't want to see this go any further then her and I'll even remove the information I posted on the portage site if you agree to also. I only posted that to show you that your not as anonymous as you think you are on the internet so you should probably tone it down a bit if you want people to take you seriously. Oh..I was on 3 groups over there and not 2.....2 darted me and now the 3rd has locked the fine thread I had going.
These are googlie people......I don't mesh well with that type. But I'll try one more meet up if they don't dart me first.....and try to create all the havoc I can, in person. Dangerfield jokes should play well. Will keep you informed.

And then me. The lady who runs that one said there had been too many complaints about me.Really, I am not half as bad there as I am here---not even close. They're googlie people, like I said. Ah di-yud!! But it got darted...was in response to Bozo's "revelation" on me. I don't know why I do this stuff. ..don't mix well with adults.For instance...was invited to a Catholic church outing today .Free food got me there....but I attracted the 7 t0 15 age group...all girls. I now have tattoos all over my forearms.....many,many skulls of varying types...and one of some fruit with the word "yummy." In reality...I must be one disturbed doorknob. But I did see a lady I really,really liked. She had a very bad limp----like something happened to her hip.One of those you can tell are permanent.
