By the way, how many bad draft selections do ya think Fat Andy will make this year? They have a couple first-rounders if I'm not mistaken.

Surely there's another Freddie Mitchell ... or Jerome McDougle ... or Todd Pinkston ... or Barry Gardner out there piquing his interest.............
Show me a coach with a draft success rate of 100% and I'll show your inner bunghole my shoelaces.

Quick to get on him about those draftees, huh? Lets look at the diamonds in the rough. Trent Cole (5th round I believe), BRIAN WESTBROOK (3RD ROUND), Stewart Bradley (3rd round), Gocong (when noone seen him going that high and transitioning to LB), what might be the best DT tandem in the league in Broderick Bunkley and Mike Patterson. Victor Abiamiri (who will be a STUD). Picked up Sheldon and Lito in teh same draft as 36. Brent Clek (5th round, and will be a solid safety valve for years to come). He didnt draft him, but had teh brain to bring in future PRO BOWLER Quinten Mikell after the draft. Lest we forget, choosing Don over Ricky "Greenleaf" Williams who every idiot with a voicebox was clamoring for...

It's quite clear the hard-on you have for Big Red. I used to live with someone just like you, my dad. The two of you are as clueless as they come. Who's your brainiac pick to bring in and make us a contender year in and year out??? My dad's was Gruden. Yes, the same Gruden that is unemployed. I'm eager to see who your replacement is.

The Mara's are usually a pretty classy/loyal group and wouldn't have dumped Coughlin just to bring in Spags (if that's what you were thinking) or anyone else.
Wellington Mara was - not sure of the new breed , and don't forget the younger Tischs have a say now as well they won't be patient , if tom doesn't win a playoff game next year , they will buy him out IMO

Too old.

I don't think he wants (or can handle) the interaction with the WHOLE team. He's content with the situation he's in. I thnk he has spurned offers before in teh past.

My "inner bunghole" ... lol

Go ahead and list all of Andy's moves since he's had complete control over personnel, declansharbor. It'll still adds up to a big fat ZERO ... as in Super Bowl rings.

Apparently you are content with the team being a "contender year in and year out". That is a LOSER mentality.

Andy has CLEARLY shown that he cannot assemble a CHAMPIONSHIP-caliber football team. At the very least, he should be stripped of some of his power over personnel decisions.

And Chucky may not be the greatest head football coach in the world, but he does own a very valuable piece of jewelry. Can't say the same about Andy despite his having total control of everything in Philly for a looooooooooong time now...

Chucky should have to melt down that ring and give half of it to Dungy. If Chucky had inherited the team that Andy did, he would have been fired after 3 years, ringless as well. If there is such a thing, these are opinionated FACTS.

Dungy couldn't get that team past the first round.

Which team? He had the Bucs in the NFC Championship and came within a whisker of derailing the Greatest Show on Turf in their heyday.

Dungy had back-to-back 1st round losses in 2000 and 2001. He was fired because the offense showed decline.

There was never any offensive incline. So how could it have been in decline?

Sadly, this may play a part in his role not to pursue a Head Coaching job as well..Good Luck..
