Auckland Cup day tomorrow! Not to be confused with the G2 City of Auckland Cup on Jan 1 - so confusing!
I have to say I think the G3 Westbury Classic is a better race than the Cup this year - Final Touch, Fleur de Lune, Fazzle, Miss Pelear, Full Of Spirit, Xanadu... |

Sangster wins!
Single Minded vanned off. Latest I've heard is "taken to a clinic for further evaluation". Hope he's OK. |

Hope he's okay too.
Well someone is turning into quite the win machine... wow, Sangster (again)! Was hoping Blood Brothah and Annie would hit the board... Love that a horse named Vogue won the Gucci Sprint. Tres chic! Watched the Westbury Classic and cannot figure out how I've never heard of Diademe (no kidding, that was some field!)... I see that Pinzaara is rnnng again on Saturday so of couese I hope you're going and that she wins for you (!). No jockey listed yet... who do you suppose gets the mount? Can't wait to see Historian, Bounding and Ruud Awakening, Veyron (!), Shuka, Ocean Park and good lord is Sangster gonna run there too? (Forgot Shootoff and BTE!). (I do hope Ocean Park does well this time). ... and a final wish of luck cause I know he needs it a little to Yin Yang Master. Does he really only have one win in all those starts? Awww. |

No updates yet on Single Minded.
Diademe's come from nowhere, really! I think she was a maiden at the start of the season. Now 8 starts for four wins and four placings, and she looks really good. I liked Vogue! Undefeated in two now. I'll be watching her next time. Sam Spratt rides Pinzaara again on Saturday. It's getting hard to choose, because both Sam and Craig Grylls get on so well with her. But Sam rode her really well last Saturday (when Craig was riding at another track), so it makes sense to keep her on. Sangster's been scratched from the NZ Stakes. I think he was just entered in there as a backup in case anything went wrong yesterday. But I think yesterday ended up going kind of well... |

Oh ed! She was wonderful!
Thrilled for you... what a fighter she is. Very very very nice 3rd. Congrats!!!!! * * * edit- Wow Joey (very nice, Sam)! (and oh Historian was flying at the end!)! * * * edit - My heart is in my throat from watching Veyron. I'm so happy for Ocean Park and yes, back to his best which is spectacular but still..... just a little tough watching Veyron. Aaah well. No idea where Mufhasa finished... cannot find full results. Mufhasa 10th. But Silent Achiever finished so strongly from way back to get 4th.
Yeah, poor Veyron. Getting stuck wide at that first turn and having to use up a heap of gas to get to the front didn't help. I don't think he (or maybe anyone) could have beaten Ocean Park today, but he might have been closer with a better trip. Ruud Awakening was spectacular! |

Poor Mufhasa but nice news about Silent Acheiver!
Ruud Awakening... wow! What's next for PInzaara? That was a great race. |
