the street cops and beat cops and sod's don't decide when to move on protesters. my father was a policeman in d.c. for 20 years, and was at countless protests-and riots as well. he didn't decide when and where to do things, just like soldiers don't choose their plans of attack. so, if you have a problem with how the police handle things, don't blame the peons, blame the brass. edit~i saw riots post where she quotes the mayor of boston-helps prove my point.

why is it that people say 'if you don't like it here, leave' when someone is critical of something, but they have a different opinion...but when they side with a protest, by god those protesters have every right to bitch?
i wish people could be more consistent in their 'beliefs'. either the constitution is the law of the land, or its not. we all know that there is a right to free speech, and a right to assemble. it would be nice if people didn't just confer that right when they are in agreement with those who are exercising that right. i see this view expressed in letters to the editor, hear it in conversation, and i see it on this board.

I have modified my platform. All entities must pay taxes there will be NO SUCH THING AS TAX EXEMPT. We will cut Not For Profits a break but still they use our resources and they need to pitch in.

they should tax all churches. they don't use all their money for charitable purposes. only what they can show as charitable should be tax free, just like the rest of us.
religion is a business, just like other businesses. they make money, or they close.

Well it would be wise to break up any sizable group and that is one that helps but at the same time hurts the globalist agenda.
I'll post a link in the police state about the government listing Ron Paul supporters as radical extremists. It's a pattern. They would prefer us to be alone, defeated, and dependent on them...the pimps in modern day Babylon. |

Hey, Protesters: What About Solyndra?
"If the Wall Street protesters are really mad about taxpayers subsidizing millionaires and billionaires, than they should bring the house down on the Obama administration for subsidizing a risky investment made by a billionaire friend of the president. But so far we haven't heard a peep from the protesters about it. Time to speak up and shout out, or shut up and go home." Read more: http://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/2...#ixzz1atdDMYsR

BTW: "Financial services" = imaginary products. No wonder we're screwed. We sell ethereal, fictional "products", not real "things" that actual people manufacture, that require materials, factories, skills.

Not in Mayor Emanuel's Chicago.
They don't play the OWS game. I suppose a misdemeanor park fine range between $200 and $300 in Chicago so the city will end up coveting the protesters' money for voicing their desire to covet other people's money. How ironic is that? Hint to the protesters: A shower, shave and haircut may be the holy grail/missing link to finding a job paying more than single digits an hour. Hope you enjoyed your stay and come back real soon. Maybe next time they'll take you to Cook County Jail. It'll be like an amusement park visit with plenty of rides and games of chance available. http://www.suntimes.com/8232448-417/...rant-park.html |

A ginned-up non-controversy by a desperate Faux News?
Yawn. Here, read this for the real non-story facts: http://thinkprogress.org/romm/2011/0...oan-guarantee/ Our major media is incompetent and lazy. Last night on Channel 18 NBC here in Lexington, 11:00 news, they had a story about "Busy day in Occupy Wall Street", then talked about 500 protesters were arrested on the Brooklyn Bridge, and they showed the video from NBC affiliate files for that. Um ... that happened 2 weeks ago. That is how grossly incompetent the media is. One of the lead stories was completely false (on a day when OWS went international, no less, and there were riots overseas associated with it) Occupy Wall Street is a movement being covered in depth on YouTube, in blog sites like Daily Kos, on Twitter and Facebook, and then accurately and thoroughly in NON-AMERICAN media like Al Jazeera and Russian Television. American Media Sucks, and they are really unhappy this OWS thing has gone around them, and doesn't need them to "frame a story" and tell the sheep what to think.

Oh Rita.....can you describe he type of undergarments you wear?
Do you prefer they are made of aluminum or Kevlar for strength, yet keeping weight to a minimum? |

Just one more question,Rita?
When your undergarments have lived their useful life...do you fashion them into main sails for tall ships as a source of income? |

The fact we have a sitting President and a leading candidate from the opposing party who are both African American and how far we've come since segregated fountains/schools etc. would have made for a great story. Sad that opportunity was missed. At least MLK must be looking down with a smile on his face. |
