While I am certainly eligible to get a positive test as is anyone who runs a horse under the current system but the pattern of abuse of some is damning was the actual comment in post #69, not I "cant get a positive test" FWIW. Eric was speaking of getting a 'reputation' as a cheater. I said it cant happen to me because I wont be getting a regular series of positives. |

each horse is different and each state is different. I feel someone could get an "accidental" positive when they are following a state guideline for withdrawl times.. but the horse in question has a slower metabolism.. I think a positive could come up that way even if everyone followed the rules. Can that happen or am I crazy? (well dont answer the last part) I dont know how often that happens though and I imagine its the first "excuse" used for all positives. LOL

![]() I guess some people just don't realize, what's going to happen when the general public and the casual bettor ( lets say a couple of OTB visits a month) find out, just how crooked this business can be and is.
Sure they all suspect there is cheating but when some large news organizations, take your pick HBO, 60 Minutes, EsPN, etc... exposes one of the top level cheaters, the big national names and they nail, really nail them. And expose the fast and loose frequency of the cheating everywhere across North America. What happens then??? Say a Kentucky Derby winner gets exposed six weeks after the fact. Today with 24 hour news organizations needing to fill time aka Tiger, gate crashers, balloon boy. Do you really think it stops with that particular incident or does every station in every town w/ a racetrack expose there local cheats, deserved or undeserved. When does the sport recover from that? Does the sport recover from that or is it the final nail, leaving only slot money and insiders. As for if its not tested for, then its not illegal.......how about this..... a douche bag changes one atom/molecule etc. in a date rape drug. It's not illegal cause there not testing for it, cause they don't know it exists.................but its the same thing as the previous drug/same effect except its legal, only because its not specifically illegal. I'll say it. ITS JUST AS DISGUSTING Thanks to Cannon Shell for saying as much as he did/was able to say in a public forum |

![]() As with all "big" outfits there are way to many horses for the Top Dog to know what is going on. Now his brother Neal on the other hand is an interesting character to watch around track in the mornings. Also intersting that you can't get to close to his barn at Saratoga when the medicine doctor(vet) shows up.

![]() You can't really "get into" anybody's barn when the vet is there. It's nobody's business what is going on with any horses not your own.
