I personally like Jeb Bush but I don't think he would have much of a chance in 2012. As unpopular as GW Bush is right now, I don't think anyone with the last name of Bush is going to be elected any time soon.

With regard to Condi Rice, I don't know why anyone would vote for her. She didn't seem to be very effective as SoS. I know that she is extremely bright, but just because someone is "book smart" that doesn't mean that they will necessarily do a good job in the real world. You see this type of thing all the time. There are economics professors that are brilliant about the economy in theory, but if you asked them to invest your money for you, they wouldn't have a clue.

That may be so in some cases, but there is a harvard professor doing a hell of a job running Harrah's casinos...with no prior experience to boot.

The bonus thing is just stupid. A majority of the general public has no idea how the whole bonus thing works. All companies will do is increase salaries.

IMO they'll become self employed advisors and will be available to several companies at the same time. Then the SEC will have a world of problems investigating inside trading especially 'naked shorts' which was a contibution to this cesspool we're in and yes the Bush admnistration is guilty as well. When your able to sell short based on hope and no assets well then it's just hope ain't it? Right side or wrong?

The face of the Dems is that dog Pelosi....that's where the power lies, apparently. Obama is just the headliner for the dog-and-pony show behind the scenes!

Right now imo, we dont know which way anything is going.

Anyone watch the Frontline, how the Bankers were absolutely
bullied by Paulson, Bernake, and then Obama? It may have been

Obama et al. are very keen on massive government intervention
with a big fat arm twisting.

I am glad I am alive because we are living in some very interesting
times. I bet the media outlets are mad as hell we have a tidal wave
of stories all at once. Look at all the events international and
domestically that have occurred. Its amazing.
I'm glad you're alive too, Pgardn! Did your sabbatical turn out well?
