LOL Joe, I like to focus all my attention on one vice, I dont need 3 vices. Trying to not bet every weekend is a struggle for me. I wont kid ya, theres not a card at Belmont or Saratoga or Santa Anita that I couldnt find at least 1 or 2 horses that I want to play.

For instance, I look at Thursday's card at Belmont and my old pal All Hail Stormy is entered. What to do, what to do!

I didnt see this thread until this morning but I felt like responding after I saw it, I Played against Lenny Bias in high school, we played them at our gym one game in the middle of the season, Northwestern vs Duval, we were beating them for most of the game and were up by 2 pts with seconds to go and thier Point Guard throws in a 55 footer to tie the game (no 3-pt back then) and we come out for the jump ball to start overtime and Lenny looks over at me and says "big man I am about to take over" I laughed at him, well the first time he touches the ball in OT he takes it to the hole and dunks on 3 of our big men (6'7',6'8',6'5') and gets fouled and looks over at me and winks, man what a talent what a player nice guy also but also what a waste. They beat us that night but lost in the state finals to High Point high school, but watching him at MD while I went to Missouri was just a thrill. I laugh sometimes when I read old newspaper or quotes about him concerned playing with the Celtics back then of course he would of been the 6th man for that team but that would of been for one year after that he would of had to start because he was that specail I truely believe in my heart of hearts that Lenny Bias would of started in his 2nd year with the Celtics at shooting Guard! 6'8" 225lb shooting guard. But those are my memories of one of the truely great players in basketball that we never got to see light up the NBA

Len Bias death, combined with Reggie Lewis passing and Birds retirement spelled the end of the Celtic dynasty.

EP -what a great story. What a great experience too. Yeah, Bias would have been the 6th man in his rookie year. But I think he would have seen at least 20-25 minutes per game. Heck, he might have even cracked the starting line-up years end.
