Sorry - I was not talking about the Bluegrass as he did not win, get the rail or have a perfect trip....

That race is a total TOSS because of the setup..

If you are going deep and betting TRIs and Supers, leaving SS off seems like a poor move to me.
It is at least possible that he is quite simply the best horse in this crop on dirt.
I don't think Street Sense is the same type of horse as Circular Quay. I don't think he gets the rail and I don't think he finishes if he is put in a position to win on Saturday.

The pace setup will be good, and Circular Quay will eat it up in my opinion. We will see how wrong I am on Saturday though. I might be on here eating crow for hours and laughing at how stupid I was. But I'm not wavering until then. I think Street Sense is a toss.

It might be a total toss to you, but not to me. He was even with all others and driving and didn't separate himself or win.

Dominican outran him...

I am leaving him off. I just haven't seen from him what I want to see. I wouldn't be totally surprised to have him win and if it does happen, he'll beat me. But u have to take a stand somewhere and I'm taking mine against him.

I'm not saying that he is my hosre for the derby..I like DOminican more than I like him, but to leave him off your tickets would be a mistake at this point. IMO.. I'm not trying to dissuade you, as we need the best odds possible on him..

"But SS wasn't fully cranked in the Bluegrass..." I read this elsewhere, I think its crap, if he wasn't cranked then Borel must have been as he cracked him a dozen times down the stretch...if he was or is the best, he should have overcome any adversity and won. Leave him off all, probably not...but looking elsewhere on top.

It's doubtfull he'll be on the top of any of my tickets. Can't see him catching Curlin. He won't get a dream rail trip and he didn't show much in the Bluegrass.

I don't disgrace him or Nafzger, I guess I'm just trying to open up some eyes or widen the tunnel around here.

does anyone here remember the lanes end breeders futurity? 3 weeks prior to the BC juvy...SS made the lead and then was caught, only to absolutly demolish the rest of his generation in the BC. anyone who thinks a horse is "cranked" every race is insane and has never been around a racehorse. by the way did Unbridled win the Bluegrass? huummmmmm

Since when has a nose loss been being outrun? Just curious...

Dominican got him, but I don't think SS was cranked for the Bluegrass. Coming out of a HUGE battle with AGS, why would you want to run him as hard as you can, knowing the Derby is the true goal.

I don't know if he will win, but leaving him off all your tickets isn't a wise choise. SS will be on all my tickets.

Dominican was behind him in the stretch on his outside, caught him and beat him to the wire.

He outran him to the finish line of the race.

Hey JD*nk, did I say every race he was cranked, NO, did I see him get whipped a dozen times down the stretch in the Bluegrass, YES. Is Nafzger Doctor F*@kin' Dolittle and tell his horse but not the jock to run 80-90% while gettin' yer ass whipped...please answer me that without being a jackass about it as I am legitimately curious about it. Prolly not gonna buy the poly was the reason as he was in the best parts of the track for that race.

A nose loss has "being outrun" since they made the distinction between first and second money.

Dude, it's about fitness, not the whip. When people say that he wasn't cranked, they don't mean that the horse wasn't trying as hard as he could, they mean that he wasn't as fit as he will be for the Derby. You seem to think that it's impossible to have a horse more fit for one race than for another.

Springsteen, take "One Step Back" haha just trying to inject some Boss humour....and look at the big picture, the horse got beat and if you want to criticize Borel then it is your right. I know these people and the horse is RIGHT where they want him I can assure you that.
