I actually like Einstein in here. I don't think you should throw him out Scavs.

Excuses, excuses
For whatever it's worth, here's a couple of paragraphs from Helen Pitts from the DRF:
"Trainer Helen Pitts said there were a couple of reasons she believes Einstein didn't run his best in the Woodford Reserve, a race in which he was seventh, though beaten only three lengths by winner Sky Conqueror. "It was pretty soft turf, that was a big factor,'' Pitts said. "He had some pharyngitis, had some throat problems. Everything's cleared up and he's the kind of horse that likes to run frequently. He enjoys the game.'' |

The grass at CD on Derby day was extremely soft. I could forgive any horse's performance over that course....unless they end up getting another similar soggy turf this weekend.

I am re-thinking this...rethinking the whole day right now actually. Here are some reasons
1) No confidence 2) Friggin I am going to be REAL pissed if I play a large pick three and are alive at the Preakness and CQ beats me 3) Einstein is by far the fastest in this race, but I like Cosmonaut (should get a great trip if Prado doesn't get speed happy with him) and Silver Tree doesn't look half bad 4) no idea what I am doing I NEED TO GET F'N PUMPED and hit a large ticket, stop this f'n around crap |
