WOW! Not knocking those tours because god knows I would LOVE to be able to play one round on one of those tours.....but I remember the hype of this kid and this is a far cry from where some projected......I guess the good thing is that he is still young! Hopefully we will see him one day......It is unfortunate the way they hypw some of these kids and are set up for failure. |

I still don't think he is hurting too bad financially...signed a good deal with Callaway the year he was on the big tour. Yeah...be careful about knocking the Hooters Tour....yours truly made even made the cut in his Hooters Tour debut |

was just getting ready to post those myself....
An awful lot of good players failed to qualify. Danny has nothing at all to be ashamed of. He easily could have packed it in after an opening 79, but seems he showed alot of grit to come back in the afternoon and fire a 72. Qualifying for a US Open is so freaking hard. |

The earlier bird gets the results... Agreed, excellent showing for anyone yesterday, especially an amateur.

Quite a few golfing millionaires below the cut line that are a just a shot or two from Danny's score. The toughest tournament in the world each year....
Nice job overall......he matches that second round on the first day and it comes down to dropping one more put......I could shoot 72 on this course but then I'd have to play the last 6 holes.... |

a name that sticks out to me is Trip Kuehne (brother to Hank and Kelli). This guy is amazing. Just started up his own financial investment firm in Dallas...works his ass off....and still have enough game to shoot the scores that he does. I can't tell you how good this guy is. He easily could have made a very nice living on the tour.

Mike...she is still out there...played in 10 or 11 events thus far this year. When I caddied for Dina last year in Williamsburg, we got paired with Kelli (Sophie Gustafson was our 3rd). This girl made me blush with the language whe was using. I can honestly never recall being in the presence of a female that used the word f*ck so many times in 5 hours. |

Kev,
Didn't Trip Kuehne lose the amatuer to some guy named Woods....then caddied for both his sister and brother in it? That's too funny about the language.....I used to live in Wilmington, DE and every year I would either go to or work the McDonalds at DuPont. Well one year, I got to be inside the ropes with Dottie Pepper (Mochrie then) and let me tell you, she is in the four letter hall of fame....most of it was said with a lot of emotion, so there wasn't a lot of discussion, but it was a riot....Oh Laura Davies being the group didn't hurt either.... |

Sam...I LOVE Dottie. I had dinner with her one night in Ohio. She is 180 degree opposite off the course than on it. Cant begin to say enough nice things about her. |

Too bad Mark O'Meara didn't make the cut either.
Sorry about your brother, Curt... that's nothing to be ashamed of though! That's awesome that he had the chance.
