If you can find two, I will take one. I wouldn't mind a slow one with a sheet like him.

Just read on bloodhorse that he is going to the Million next. Awful ambitious and would be hilarious ball busting if he were to win the Million and ENGLISH CHANNEL COULD NOT!!!

You forgot to mention that he's a brother to a multiple champion mare who was sold for a world record price. Yeah, he sucks.

Next race will tell me where he stands. He didn't beat a whole hell of a lot in that race. The Million is always a highly contended field so he hits the board in this race and I'll consider him a good horse. I would like for Pletcher to ship him now and get acquianted with the area. With Pletcher having stalls at Arlington, it is now possible

I 'm not calling him the second coming of Man O War but he's better than an empty stall and right now, his prospects are very good. Clearly he's an improved horse on grass. As a lightly raced 4yo, he has room to continue to improve.

I like the Jones'. They are very nice people and they really know and understand the game. Mrs Jones in particular really loves Sunriver and since I like her, I follow the colt.

Yeah, he won a Grade II on the turf. What a superstar. Retire him already, he's done enough.

That race came up like a so-so alw. race. I am sure track officials loved putting up 200k to attract that field.

The point, though, is that for the 2nd time in a row Sunriver did not run a slow race...in fact, he ran a pretty quick race yesterday. There's no point in anyone throwing your comments in your face and that is not at all my intention, more that Sunriver is a different horse on turf and that made a rather ho-hum weekend a bit more interesting.

You're right, he's run two fast races in a row, and may be a new horse on grass. Still, I'm anxious to see what he does against better competition, because he ran a few fast races on dirt as well, and then didn't show anything against better competition.

Agreed...the Arlington Million, like has been said in the thread already, will be a good litmus test. The American contingent does not seem terribly tough, so pointing him there is probably a good move by Pletcher. I suppose an impressive win by any horse in Sunday's Eddie Read at Del Mar could get that one to Arlington, but horses exiting that race haven't been a factor in the Million for quite a while.
