Default 7/27: Saratoga (Day 3)

In typical Saratoga fashion, a card that looked more straightforward than the previous day's turned into a bloodbath as little went right after the strong opener Wednesday. But the warm, sunny day, bobblehead bonus and arriving weekenders made it another glorious afternoon. Highlight of the card was the performance of Ready's Image in the Sanford as the Scatourchio buy-back proved out his billing as a chip off the old block (More Than Ready).

Weather threatens the special weekend action as potential for a deluge is ominously forecast. Let's hope for the best. Hope you fared better than I Thursday.. Let's try to get back to Wednesday's winning ways on the Friday twilight card...

Steve,

I like City Weekend in the 3rd as well. You don't like Sabellina in the 6th?

I'm surprised we don't hear about more horses injuring themselves when they travel. You'd think it's bound to happen.

Drew a fever yesterday, so there is no choice. The barn was ready to run here. I believe Bobby is on the left coast.

What a joke- and someone on here gave me a hard time for calling him out on that

Bees (Rahy) gets to try real grass after chasing Mooncatcher on dirt and Panty Raid on poly. I like Dominguez as the jock here for Motion

Couple swings for today:
R6 Dinner Diamond: #4 Sabellina 10-1 ML is a ridiculous price. She's been running in foal this year but is clearly the most accomplished and talented of this group and her 3rd last out against a good group of NYB males shows she's still in form.

R8 The Lake George: #4 Bees 15-1, working steadily for this spot and Motion gets his go-to guy on there. Was close to Panty Raid on the poly back in April, who is now a G1 turf winner.

Was writing my thoughts up on her as well when you posted this. I like her a lot at 15-1, no killers in this field

NOthing better than starting off a pick 4 with a 12-1 shot. Lets bring this one home BT. I believe we can both walk away happy if 4/1,9/9 comes out in the next three races. Good Luck.

Race 4, I like the 9 at the current 17-1. Throw out the turf disaster last out and she fits with the group.
