I have a bad habit of looking directly over girlfriends head while watching HRTV, or TVG, or just not listening to a word they say.

Del Mar is so strong its incredible. Even a degenerate will skip a few races at Del Mar to look around

Ive not been there since they laid the Poly

Maybe that's a good analogy for me to use here - sitting in the park on Saturday was like going to a football game and doing the tailgating in a parking lot, but never actually going inside to see the football game. The tailgating thing is fun but I'm there to watch the game from the stands.

I've sat in Turf Terrace a few times, twice for Travers.

I've noticed on Travers they had some "seat charge" that was pretty steep.

But for the most part it's a great spot. Lot of men and women dressed up drinking and capping. Met some great people up there.

Just make sure you get a Saratoga Sunrise - they'll give you a cool glass to take home with it!

Yep. I like my table in the Travers Bar. The scenery is great. Two beers purchased there to meet the minimum and then to the cooler outside in the grandstand.

One change they made this year that I don't like is they incorporated the Travers Bar into the dining room. "Waiter, please remove these place settings and menus from the table. They are cluttering up our handicapping space."

I noticed that change too. I sat there Saturday and was wondering what it was all about, oh well, I do still like the Travers Bar.
