The happy feet and the rushing is all mental. When he is on, you dont see that. He has a cannon for an arm and over the middle he can thread it with the best of them. His head is just thoroughly messed up right now. God...how did i get into defending Grossman? Some guys never come back from a prolonged slump like this. Most don't. But I would disagree with you on the talent being there. In my opinion, it certainly is. |

Looking back at just the stats one thing that sticks out is that with the exception of the late season games against dreadful Tampa and Detroit, Grossman played poorly in almost every tight game or loss. Week 3 against Minn he was bad, Week 6 against AZ (the devin Hester comeout party) he was bad, the loss vs Miami he was awful as well as the Jets game (they shut the Jets out otherwise it might have been a loss too) and he was terrible against NE too. When a team that was playing Defense like the Bears were last year, he was constantly put into situations where he had do ok (the other teams defense spending too much time on the field because the o was 3 and out all the time) plus the turnover margin and Hesters returns were putting them in positive field position all the time. Well the Defense aint the same this year for many reasons and ol Rex aint getting the nice setups that he was and the results are as expected, miserable.
