My guess is they aren't going to do it now that there is the BC Sprint for F & M, but I'd love to see La Traviata run against this group. I know she's so lightly raced, but she's a freak (cobra venom aside). I don't know how she's even going to get into the F & M Sprint with only 4 points.
On the topic of the ride Victor gave to GG, the point is HE put him down there in the box when he didn't need to. He could've coasted behind that crew, went wide on the turn (as most 1-2 shots that are much the best often do), and sailed home with ease. He didn't need "the perfect trip" against that group. Most impressive sprint win I've seen thus far is Midnight Lute in the Forego (but he's got issues) followed closely by the freaky performance of Fabulous Strike in the Vosburgh. |

Well, I like him to win the sprint, but it's not an easy race to win from off the pace.I think people are not realizing that he didn't really use everything he had yesterday. So,he should come back o.k. on 3 weeks rest. He could have gotten cut etc. from being between those horses yesterday. So,we will see how he comes out of the race. Why play somebody good, though?? Probably be somebody that "was obvious if ya really look."
