Politcians? Well...Joe Bruno has had a lot to say already. Other interests? I can't wait to see a late move by the Donald. In the interest of NY racing, I hope that NYRA retains the francise. They'll have the tracks, MGM will have the slots. Land disputes will be settled later. It's only been, like for the past two years that Aqueduct was supposed to have slots...right? btw...slots increase purses if it's done right. |

![]() For as much as I've been complaining about NYRA recently, I'd still prefer to see NYRA retain the franchise. I'd be concerned with any changes or other plans any other entity may have for the NY tracks... not that I have any particular suspicions of anyone, just like for things to stay the way they are.
