Do you really not like the guy Scuds?
I do not follow baseball that closely anymore
but I just remember constant highlights of him
running down just about everything in CF...

He saved so many runs for the Braves...

So he has soured on baseball or what?

No,we don't need another low energy Atlanta Braves-type team.We needed a team guy. What you're talking about(defense n' pitching etc.) is great, but we gotta score, and I don't think he is the answer for that problem.I don't see giving him 17 mil/year for anything less than 31 home runs. So,if he hits that many, then I lose, and L.A. has actually got their moneysworth from one of these guys.It ain't like I am gunna be upset if he hits 31.That's not the case.I just don't expect it.Either he is gunna give us some production,or Canon is gunna buy a pick 6 ticket.I will take either situation.Just a guy who knows his team, and knows what happens when these guys come here(they don't produce.)They just don't do what is hoped they will do.Hope is mainly an immature emotion.

Actually Pg,

He's been known to be in Bobby Cox's doghouse quite a few times for his lack of hustle on the field.

Too bad.
Made for good highlights.
So maybe he enters the Dodger
Doghouse.

...have not really kept up.

3 ground balls to the shortstop, and a single. He did manage to hit into his 1st double play as a Dodger.

Cox stated many times Jones is the best centerfielder he has ever seen play the game.

He also pulled him out in the middle of an inning when he dropped a routine flyball (he was trying an always fashionable basket catch) his rookie or second yr in Atlanta, so your point is well taken.

Went to the game yesterday and it was amazing in every way. However, I found it quite odd to see Steve Finley in a Dodger uniform standing next to Duke Snider in CF during the pregame "50th ann." ceremony.

Andruw Jones #25 CF
2008 STATS
_BA_ HR_ RBI
.136_ 0__ 1

To be honest,he looks about like many other overpaid Dodger FREE AGENT SIGNINGS.Seems like Furcal even started out slowly in 2006,and Furcal has played pretty well (except for when hurt almost all of last year.) He(FURCAL) has looked great this year. For the most part, guys don't hit much when they put this uni on.Could have to do with a lot of tight games(not as much garbage time as other teams get.)Andruw has to face Haren, Peavy ,and Young in 3 of the next 5 games.

Kemp and Pierre splitting time due to Kemp's slow start. Ouch!!

The bad thing even though Kemp is starting slow. Pierre is still batting .091 for the year.

Yea,but he ain't been close.Atleast Pierre hit some balls hard(but right to the outfielders lol..like on a fkn string..lol.) 155 games left after tonite.Unless he can get one against Haren etc. tonite, then he has to hit 31 hr in 155 games. That's like you winning 2 races in one day. It's not impossible. We went to the moon.Better chance than me getting top 20 in the song contest against more people than can fit in a typical arena. You simply didn't factor in the whole Dodger thing,k? If Andruw had signed with St. Louis or Milwaukee, then I would say he had a chance at 31HR. Traditionally, the Dodgers are a team that other pitchers seem to want to pitch well against(partly due to it being a team with decent starting pitching...=they know they have to keep the score down.) Either it's that or we just sign ****.

"WOW........................He's struck out 8 times already this year."-Vin Scully (commenting after Andruw Jones Struck out with 2 men on in the 8th inning Monday Night....... ) Trust me, Chuck,it's been ugly. I think he would try to swing at his own momma (if she got close enough.)............Meanwhile,Chris Young looked outstanding tonite.Looked like a guy who was seeing a beachball to hit.Look for him to get that average up soon.He could easily hit 2-4 home runs this week.Honestly, don't know how D backs lose this division.Injuries(I guess.)
