Dam FOX should stop showing NASCAR wrecks and NBC...shame on them for showing hockey fights. And the dam news showing murder scenes. The discovery channel showing the Predator/Prey stuff needs to be stopped.

It's a story, just like a man getting shot at a liquor shop is a story, I don't see the problem with this...it's their job.

It's pointless to try and reason with her. She's a Lexington $50,000 millionaire and she looks down to all of us.

Easy to be experts on death when all one does is watch it on TV.

Now you're assuming none of us have dealt with death in our lives. Could you be anymore pretentious?

You really need to get over yourself.

I don't think that a NASCAR wreck, a murder scene and a Discovery channel animal show are the same thing; and I know that $50,000 isn't equal to a million.

Yes, I'm the one with reality issues

Showing images or footage of animals or people in the throes of death on the nightly news is not the same as a Nascar wreck or a hockey fight or a murder scene. Its possible to broadcast tragic stories that accurately depict what happened without showing footage of convulsing bodies.

It is the press's responsibility to give the news and this situation ESPN's brief picture of the broken down horse was not irresponsible or over kill. Injuries and death occur in this sport and it is part of the story.

They briefly showed the horse and the trailers. Can you please tell me why that is so awful? Please. People need to get a phucking grip.

Oh you mean like when a HUMAN, like Earnhardt died.
I know most of this stuff is not the same, but this knocking ESPN for what
it showed is WAY, WAY over the top.

Is this a good place to market my new horse racing DVD? It's called "The 50 most horrific breakdowns of all time"

Can I steal some anger my way a bit more?

Okay, here goes: If only Eight Belles had the good sense to go down before the wire, I would have had a nice exacta

Oh my goodness. Be ready for a barrage. I know I needed DOC for second, but I think I would've felt pretty bad if it shook out that way.

Guess that post wasn't so excellent for Denis of Cork, eh? Had he drawn further inside, Calvin wouldn't have had to run such a drastic diagonal line to the rail and cost him a few lengths, then maybe he could've gotten up for second.

lol, was that Calvin that dove in so quick? As the race was running I was thinking "what the hell is that jock doing?" I should have known it was Calvin.
