As for the beyer, they did move it up 2 points but they should have moved in up 7 points. There claim that the track got that much faster was nonsense. He did it in his second career start off a long layoff after quarantine. Only exceptional animals can do that.

Setting aside the general hilarity of your posts, you are making the usual mistake that internet buffoons make......using a Beyer figure as gospel when it suits your argument ( Big Brown is slow because he ran a 100 ) but then explaining why a Beyer figure is inaccurate when it doesn't suit your argument ( Casino Drive is better than Big Brown ). Of course, if you really wanted to understand figs and racing, instead of just screeching for attention, you could have brought up that while the 100 figure for Big Brown works well for Icabad Crane and his past, it comes up 7 to 15 points light for a number of other horses in the race. Now, I think the number works, as the track appeared consistent during the day, unlike the Belmont surface on Peter Pan day when any competent figure maker understands that there was a split variant.

I think the three year old crop is the worse in years but continuing to put down BIG BROWN only diminishes CASINO DRIVE if he happens to beat him.

Actually, I think BTH is the tatood lady I saw at the county fair last year. I mean really, it's one thing to have an opinion and quite another to claim to know about "mysterious injuries". How do you expect anyone to believe anything you say?

No. I am not putting down Big Brown. Just saying he isn't even as good as any of the top 3yr olds from last year. So to say he is great is hilarious.

It is funny how Robby Albarado also agrees with me.

Albarado said. “Frankly, there were at least four 3-year-olds last year who were as good as Big Brown if not better. Street Sense, Hard Spun, Any Given Saturday and Curlin.”

Shocking to hear Curlin's rider say such a thing.

As if that quote means anything. Kent D also said BB was the best horse he has ever been on. Now I am confused. Who do I believe?

BTW Beyers aren't the only speed figures out there. Some of the others indicate that BB is quite a bit faster than last year's group.

Either way...no point in arguing with you. Please continue to pimp out the Peter Pan winner.

Curlin, sure, I can see that. Street Sense...I guess the case could be made, but it is shaky. Hard Spun? Big, big stretch seeing how he never really won anything of note. I refuse to even address Any Given Saturday.

Albarado should just stick to riding horses. Curlin is a yes, Street Sense a maybe, but the other two, no way

Did Robby say "Casino Drive" as well? LOL. Listen, if this colt steps up -- and he needs to big time -- and beats Big Brown, so be it. Anybody can beat anybody on any given day, and in a race as enigmatic as the Belmont, perhaps even more so.

I wouldn't be using this kind of argument to bolster any opinion.

OK we are going to play the name dropping game now I was never going to bring this up BTH opened the door.

Scott Blasi has stated on the Backside of Churchill Downs that he did not now if Curlin Could beat big Brown and was not for sure if he wanted to run Against him

I will stick to links with actual quotes.

http://therail.blogs.nytimes.com/200...8/great-horse/

You can say whatever you want. I can assure you Scott Blasi never said he wasn't sure if he wanted to run against him. If he said anything it would be we won't find out because Curlin is a tough horse that hung around and Big Brown will be retired before he faces Curlin. Thanks for playing though.

I wonder if Kent Desormeaux offered after today's 3rd at Belmont whether or not he felt Big Brown could have won any race with the kind of ride he gave Alluring Tune.

Anyone catch that gem?

Congratulations.. you just bought your ticket out of here for insulting yet another person who works inside the industry and has more credibility here than you... Those that can't interract with others to the standards set here can ply their nonsense elsewhere...

Bye..

Yeah. That was a gem. How many times did he check? What was he thinking?
