Is it just me, or does anybody else think harness should be run at night(or not at all.) Doesn't that seem like something you need to be a lil loaded up to enjoy?

Another pathetic display by the Dodger offense, waisting another superb start by Kuroda. Torre should tell the team that if and when they make base....they are to stare at the ground and make no eye contact with their teammates at bat. Obviously their presence out there is a huge discomfort and distraction to the batters when we need runs.
one of the few redeeming things about the game was Tommy singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" to Wrigley crowd. You don't have to ask which team he named at the "Root, Root-Root" part of the song. I wonder how many times that has happened there? Poor quality recording... but a funny collection of the legend in his element: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPx327SbBQ0 |

Well, I am not quite sure if they have desire problems, or hitting problems. Seems like they need a good ass-kicking before they show their best at the plate, and that's simply being mentally inferior to their opponents. Good pitching takes a lot of desire and patience to overcome. I'm not sure if they have enough of either. For instance, the pitch Loney struck out on last night was too fkn low. It's simply a lack of concentration (to swing at that pitch.) Loney, Kemp, Martin, Ethier etc. are young players that have reaction times that make it possible for them to hit good pitching. They need to put the rap, hip hop, and video games away long enough to learn how to be professional hitters. They can't hit good pitching consistently (at all,) and most of the other guys (except the injured Furcal) on the team have reaction times that are simply too slow for them to hit good pitching. Pierre is just too f'n country to get his head out of his ass. Yea, he gets his self to the game and works harder than anyone. So what? No matter what, the guy is gunna continue to throw like a woman. No matter what, the guy is going to hit the ball too close to defenders (like with Fukadome last night.) He is just mentally incapable of getting his head out of his ass. That's a "GOOD TIMES"/ "WHAT'S HAPPENING" Marathon watcher if ever there was one.
