what a shocker. Russert really was one of a kind. nobody worked harder, or prepared as well as he did, or had the enthusiasm. i think that's what i really liked about him. a real genuine good person.

The one thing I liked about Tim Russert is he had the onions to put the spotlight on politicians. Any time a greasy pol sat across from Russert he was facing fastballs. His interviews on Meet the Press exposed a lot of phony pols who were use to facing easy questions. He'll be missed. David Gregory might replace him on Meet the Press but he's exposed himself as too much of a partisan Democrat. While Russert was a Democrat he was fair and balanced.

My girlfriend and I have political views that are polar opposites. Russert was the one man we would watch each Sunday morning. She would have her coffee and I would have my water and we would eat fresh muffins.

His book "Big Russ and Me" is great. My father passed away in 1995 and Russert became a father type figure to me from afar. His hardwork, dedication, and blue collar attitude made him a treat to watch.

It is a damn shame that he will not be here to cover the most historic Presidential election. His professionalism, attitude, and charisma will be missed.

What a shame. There is never a good time to lose someone like Tim Russert, but it's hard to see him go in what will likely end up being one of the more memorable and possibly historic election cycles in history. If prayers are your deal, might want to send a few up for his family, and ole' Big Russ...a father should never have to see his son buried. I know I'll be saying a few.

And for tonight, I'm an honorary Bills fan.

That is was. I teared up many times. Tom Brokaw lost it and James Carville couldn't even talk for most of the show. Russert did was he loved. He challenged me to find my passion and to go for it. What a heck of a man.

Yes its weird how when your own Dad dies,
you actually focus on an older person in
India who died in their sleep.

When people die that I am familiar with,
I sometimes focus on the all the bacteria
I killed in the morning while brushing my teeth.

That's enough sarcasm for one day, Pat.

Yes it is.

Tell Morton it is for real.
I am that bizarre.

Excuse my jab at the self-righteousness,
as I am just a bit overly so myself.
