Of course one can turn it off during that segment.
I think he has gotten a lot better. At the time that video was made, I don't think he was capable of having some empathy for others, and now he seems to(or atleast he has learned to act that way.) Some of the stuff he talks about though are really odd. I don't hear him on the radio anymore, but occasionally I see him on ESPN. The other day, he was talking about the new coach of UCLA Football. Rick Neuheisel was auctioning something off for charity, and it wasn't selling (or for not much.) He offered to allow the buyer to call the 1st offensive play against USC. I don't know why that's important to ROME to bring up. Does a national audience really care about that?

i can't either. he always sounds like such a smart ass-and the whole world just bothers him somehow. huge ego, with a mouth and an attitude to match.

FYI

Vic had knee surgery today. I believe it was for a torn meniscus.
Hopefully he will be back on Wednesday.

Get well soon VJS

i can get a laugh from the silliness and "i didn't know that" from the interviews.
VJS has to be a "clone" to make that race call friday night.

Just got home. Feeling a little sore and groggy. Doc said everything went fine. Thanks for the good thoughts. Looking OK for being back on Wed. If not Frank Miramahdi warming up in the bullpen.

Does Frank do a good Vic racecall? I'm sure he does. He could do "you" the whole card and you can stay home and sip Margarita's on the couch and heal up.

I liked Vic's call in the Round Table, when he said they were going along a pretty quick clip...and then he noticed they were going 25.60 and said well they are not going that quick...you can hear the chuckle in his voice while he said that.

Frank's a strong mimic. You figure by now he'd work the Peter Griffin. He could make some serious $$$ with that one.

Certainly enough have said it "about" my calls. Thought it was time to work it into the call.

Speaking of the rest. How good was Secretariat? Laffit once told me that Sham was one of the five best horses he ever rode.

I've decided that Secretariat was so good that I will no longer use him for a comparison to anything equine performance related. Its just too unfair to today's equine athletes.

Heal well Vic.....Ice Ice and more Ice with elevation is so simple but the best thing you can do to accelerate the healing. Good Luck with your recovery...
