If the track is a little sloppy, why not bet on #4 fly to me... she won the FL juvenile in the slop last fall...

Nice hit on the super in race 4
I'm watching, not wagering today..especially with the off track.
Good luck the rest of the way.

Default tri super

I hit the Trifecta in the 4th and you hit the
super

that should have made your day

the rain and the scratches kinda ruined mine a little

changed my pick from Sweet Talker to Angara when I saw the conditions.. sure you did the same.

Bernardi looked hotter in the post parade than he di in the winner's circle

Default SAR: Day Five (No Selections)

Had no chance to look at Sunday's Saratoga card after the first big Saturday of the meet... We'll pick it up for Monday.

Terrific day yesterday despite the rain.. Bet exactly one race, and nailed the opener tri for nice coin boxing the 1-4-5-7-9 and keying the 9 (Planets Aligned) over the 1-4-5-7 in triple. Was more than slightly miffed to discover that a Super had been offered in this one. My teller pal Julius, who's been doing the meet in the wickets for years, says there's almost NEVER a Super in Race 1... It was in the program and Barbara Grabowski told me afterwards that she had heard Durkin mention it, but I missed both pieces of info...

Alan Benewitz of Thoro-Graph and I both were all over the 9 at an overlaid 13-1, and were stunned when a Super price of $8,400 was announced... I talked to "BTW" about NYRA doing more to let the public know an unusual bet is being offered with a flash on the TV or a crawl. He'll talk to Bill Nadar about it, as California does the best job of keeping you informed of proposition placement and we should have the same info here.

In the meantime, once the rain came, I kept my profits in the the pocket despite nailing the 5th race super ($1,500) on paper as well... Am noticing how the wins are being spread around amongst the jockey colony so far. EVERYONE is getting their wins...

More examination of Week One trends and action on ATRAB and DT Tuesday...

Hope you're doing well so far...

Steve

Nice hit Steve,

I had him as well. There's been many live shots so far and Toga continues to be the graveyard of favorites.

Have fun for me...might make it up in a few weeks.

Downlow on yesterday's play? I didn't make the bet after it came up wet. It turned out too short with 3 Favs winning anyway. In my reckoning the 12 was the likely favorite in R10 once the rain came.

Downlow on the software used to create the plays? see http://bet-smart.com . I consider "bet-smart" part of my edge. (in fact I used it when I won the PaceAdvantage.com "Ridersup Memorial Aqueduct Inner Track Challenge" by open lengths this year) I've learned to manipulate the program, really a complex spreadsheet, and try not to even play tickets with >2 favs (but it is sometime hard to predict downleg favoritism) which usually dissapoint price-wise. I'd rather not cash but have had a shot at a big score than cash but lose money.

Default SAR: Day 6 (End Week 1)

The first week of the meet comes to a close Monday after a great weekend of racing. The talk Sunday logically centered around Tom Albertrani and Darley off Bernardini's effortless jog in the Jim Dandy, and later Balletto's thrilling headbob loss to Spun Sugar in the Go for Wand.

Hope you enjoyed Week One and did well... We gave Monday's card a quick review after an exhausting weekend...
