Congrats again, and lets us know how your wife reacts when you tell her tonight
She won't even know till tomorrow. She just boarded the plane for Germany. I texted her so she'll get it at about 3am. I better get some sleep ahead of time. And thanks. It is fun to share it with folks.

Thanks. I am sure we'll pay off a few bills and help out the poor folks who shouldn't have had a mortgage in the first place.

I just saw the chart. I think I would have been dead. What is nice is that Ricky Schosberg is a great guy and his horse won it for me.

thanks. I was worried about the 2. I didn't have a good feeling about criminalogist but just couldn't leave him off. I actually clicked the 2 first along with the 3 and then changed my mind and hit the 6. It's hard to get behind a long shot!

As I looked at the race I liked the 3 alot but as pointman said there was a ton of early speed in here that I thought would cancel each other out. I liked Pygmalian but coming back off off a lengthy lay-off, I didn't think he would be able to carry it all the way. Of the rest, Golden Amulet looked like he easily belonged here. His last two trips were compromised by what I thought were bad trips. you take out his last race and his numbers are more than competitive with this group. Even though he was coming in off of a lay-off of 4 plus months, I thought his running style was suitable for a horse on a layoff. Plus he seems to run well off of a layoff so I swallowed hard, ignored the 12-1 morning line and put him in.
Now all that sounds like I know so much but in actuality, the darn horse ran the race well. With a nice change in jockey after those two bad trips.

call it redboarding..... this horse was not that tough to come up with... last race beat a decent field, better then anything she faced today besides Shugs horse, and she throws in a dud every so often, LONE SPEED, and A GIANT.

and i did not bet a dime on her, i did not win money, did not bet the race, so say what you want.

The horse in the 7th was a tougher pick I thought but the biggest surprise to me in the 9th wasn't that the 6 won but that I had her! I don't pretend to be any expert or anything. But, to be honest and in fairness to pointman, she wasn't any easy pick here. Her best number is competitive with most of the others more mediocre races. Shugs horse's duds on paper were better than her career best. She was going in against all graded stakes placed/winner horses and her biggest claim to fame was her optional claiming score last time out. She isn't a Giant by any means. She was cutting back and had a nice break after her career best last time out and had 5 good and consistent works in her for this one. Plus, as you say, she was the lone speed. Giant? No. But you could see she would move forward from her last. The cards had to fall her way and they did. I thought she was worth a shot.
