Pujols is more tame than Manny. I think you feel less threatened by him.

I thought I was the only Astro fan on the board. Unfortunately, our farm system sucks and so will we for the forseeable future.

That's probably the last at bat of Kent's career, and he goes down on a bad strike 3. Pretty low strike 3 on Martin earlier. Do they ever grade these old guys or what?

Astros have never won a ring. Why you like them? White as chalk? or what?

I grew up there. Probably made 15-20 games a year when in high school. Sat in the cheap seats in the outfield. Tried to never miss J R Richards or Nolan Ryan when they were pitching. Was able to see Ryan's 5th no hitter against the Dodgers.

JR was a Dodger killer. Was just starting to become a really dominant pitcher when he was stricken.

I also kinda followed the Pirates too but never was a true fan. Though i did enjoy the WS when they beat Baltimore because my brother is an obsessive Oriole fan. As a kid I also liked the Angels until they signed Reggie when I gave them up. Always hated the Yankees and never really liked the mets either. Was a closet Expos fan but it was hard to follow them.

An amazing player right up there with the greats..but I really don't think fans know that much about.

He moved to Cleveland after his playing days were over.
