McCain ahead in Va but Obama closing like Silky Sullivan with the liberal northern part of the state still largely out! To close to call!

No...alot of the Northen part is in. They are waiting on the Hampton Roads area (Newport News, Norfolk, etc) which is heavily populated with military votes.

I was home sick today. They came today yet again to make sure we were still voting obama.

You have to hand it to Obama's people. They ran a great campaign.

I have lived in northern va for a while now. I have NEVER had campaign people knock on my door 4 times or even once.

I agree though. The dems win with just regular John Smith running. They get style points with Obama.

I really think the fact that he is young and half black played a huge role. I can't think of too many older white career democrats that wouldn't have found someway to screw it up.
