They need to start handing out wrist bands like Best Buy does here.. They have to get them days ahead of time and then they only let people in by the # on their bands.

I think the what happened today is very sad and not the 1st time it's happened. Something does need to change about just letting people charge into stores like that...It's total mayhem!!

Really though, what kind of a ****ing idiot would line up outside a Walmart at 3 AM just to save $50 on a TV. A man was trampled to death? Are people that nuts? It should be renamed Douchebag Friday.

This whole thing that people are told that today is the day to shop and that they blindly follow this designated shopping day is dumb. They might as well jump off a cliff if someone tells them to. Sure I might pay $10 more for a microwave if I shop a week earlier, but at least I won't risk death.

The sad thing was that it was a worker that got killed, not a dumb-ass MalWort shopper.

not that i think it'll do much good, but i sent 'feedback' to walmart. they need to do away with the friday morning circus, it's absolutely ridiculous. but then, i thought having stores open all day thanksgiving day (not just walmart) was ridiculous. certain days of the year, everyone should be closed so the employees can spend time with their families.

I don't mind the open on Thanksgiving thing, as long as they don't fire anyone for refusing to do so.

But what is mind boggling...you would think being open on Thanksgiving would lighten the amount of people the next day, but I guess that's not true.
