This really got my blood pressure up -- I'm angry. As Steve said, if they cared at all about the game they never would have done this, certainly not all at once and so severely if they did need to pull back on 2009's contribution. Instead, they now put many recognizable stakes events into jeopardy.

so...we heard all about how the two days was a huge success, i think combined handle was an all-time high(altho no track comes close to replicating churchill regarding handle). the bc made a lot more money from the two day event because of how wagering is handled, which all goes to the bc rather than the host track... tv ratings if i recall correctly were higher than in the past.
and this is their response? it's absolutely disgraceful. |

This is the racing equivalent of putting the ball in JP Losman's hands on 2nd and 5 with 2 minutes left clinging to a 3 point lead.

I am so done with these people.....Maybe the horsemen will finally band together next year and refuse to go to SA next year and participate. Drive these a'wholes out of business and go back to racing as it was before they ruined the sport from July to late October. Take the damn purple saddle cloths and stick'em where the sun is not!!! |
