I am a lifelong Cowboys hater, but I gotta say that Aikman is a damn good announcer. And he was a decent QB too I guess

Co-sign. Although yesterday, it seemed personal with Donny Mac.

Aikman led three Super Bowl winning teams. That's more than Jaws, Cunningham and McNabb combined - and I wasn't math major!

Me, antitrust or danzig could have at least gotten those teams to the playoffs.

Between Matt's post in the Eagles thread and this one, I got my fill of laughter for the night. I'm halfway recovered I think.

I'm not far from that. I tend to hit the mute button more and more these days. Mute the sporting event and keep the sound up on my computer watching horse racing.

You underestimate my arm strength... I would have led them to 5 superbowls.

Eventhough I would have never played for the Cowgirls to begin with!!

You should be honored, it's not everday that I jump in to aid an Iggy fan.

@ people who think Aikman's a good announcer. He's a cliche machine with horrible grammar. What am I missing?

I think he describes very interesting points
about plays that are being run and why. Very good
at explaining offensive planning.

Who do you think is better... presently?

Moose Johnston, Steve Tasker, Dan Dierdorf, um.. I can't remember announcers at all. I don't usually notice them unless they suck, and I think Aikman sucks.

Two of those you mentioned suck.
I notice them.

Dierdorf is absolutely awful imho.
Johnston is constantly referring the Moooooose call.
Every damn game.

Tasker... dont remember so I guess that makes him good.

just don't have much respect for guys who spend more time on their hair than i do...and the holding the sharpie thing..and the day they called the usc/penn state rose bowl---well, i don't see how kirk said a word, he seemed to have pete carrolls junk in his mouth the whole game. i'm like ateam, in that i don't know most announcers' names-they're the ones who get we are tuning in to watch the game, not listen to them; that it's not about them.

i guess i like Ron Franklin and Mike Patrick the best. i did like when Mike Gottfried worked with either Patrick or Franklin. Blackledge is just ok.
